Re: Leaking

I just purchased an Athena unit and it leaks from the bottom of the machine itself not any hoses or the filters. I assume the device is defective. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Hi there, In this case, you may want to contact IonWays Technical Support for some basic troubleshooting....

The AlkaPod will work with pretty much any type of water. Of course, since the main function of the AlkaPod is not filtration, pre-filtered water is ideal.
The AlkaPod just takes 30 seconds to a minute to convert the water.

I have seen this test attempted many times to no avail. Most people don't know it requires the use of the mineral injector. The only way to accomplish this task is with a mineral injector. This water is not meant to be consumed due to it's high pH and can only really be used in laundry applications...

Most tap water works with about 60 psi, the Athena will work with as little as ten psi. The only down fall is that the flow is so slow that on alkaline level one, a person will get an awesome pH reading of 9.5 or higher. They will not see the variance that you normally do.

While many of our parts are NSF certified the Athena does not carry full NSF.

There is no ionizer on the market that carries NSF.

We do have UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, KFDA and a host of other certifications.
