I'm curious about any supplies the AlkaPod may need -- I don't see any listed in your online catalog. I'm wondering about calcium inserts, refills for charcoal filtration, etc. Can you tell me what the AlkaPod needs; how often replacment is necessary (hom many months or how many gallons); and what such supplies cost.

Also, can the AlkaPod supply the typical water needs for one person, e.g., 5-8 liters of drinking water per day and perhaps 3-4 liters/day for cooking or other digestive uses?

The AlkaPod will need a replacement filter approximately every 2-3 months (based on consumption of 2-3 liters per day).

which water should one put inside? I suppose that distilled, demineralized, in general, purified water is the best.
how long does it take for the water to be ready to drink after filling the alkapod, does one have to shake the bottle for 3, 5, 10 minutes?

The AlkaPod will work with pretty much any type of water. Of course, since the main function of the AlkaPod is not filtration, pre-filtered water is ideal.
The AlkaPod just takes 30 seconds to a minute to convert the water.
